When Blue Fin Fishing Club set out to refresh their venue, the brief was clear: elevate the experience without losing the community spirit that defines the club. From the outset, Mint Furniture was brought in not simply as a supplier, but as a long-term partner – collaborating closely with the Club and the design team at Inaspace Architects – to deliver a solution that was thoughtful, durable and unmistakably bespoke.
The Approach
Mint was involved from the beginning, with the Club visiting the showroom in late 2023 to meet with the team and explore possibilities first-hand. This early engagement meant furniture could be selected, customised and refined with a deep understanding of the Club’s needs — from traffic flow and durability, to comfort, style and brand alignment.
As a custom furniture manufacturer, Mint was able to deliver solutions tailored specifically to the venue — free from stock limitations or standard finishes. Generous lead times allowed every detail to be resolved, ensuring the space feels considered, distinctive, and unmistakably its own.
Furniture Strategy
After close collaboration with the Club, the furniture package was finalised by the team at Insapce, to be installed in two carefully planned stages, with a strong focus on durability, lifecycle value, and performance in a high-use environment.
Final furniture sampling was taken directly to the venue so the wider team and the Board could review finishes and selections together, ensuring complete confidence before production commenced.
