WHY TREES?
Planting trees is one of the best ways to combat the damaging effects of climate change. Trees help clean the air we breathe, filter the water we drink, and provide habitat to over 80 percent of the world’s terrestrial biodiversity. Trees also provide tremendous social impacts by providing jobs to over 1.6 billion people, empowering women in underdeveloped nations, and supporting communities devastated by environmental damage.
By planting trees in Australia, you’re creating habitat corridors for koalas in New South Wales and Victoria, enhancing biodiversity in Western Australia and promoting sustainable and regenerative agriculture practices with landowners all over the country. For every chair purchased from Mint, we will give $1 to One Tree Planted to go towards planting native trees in Australia, at no cost to our customers. One Tree Planted collaborate with awesome partners to ensure the trees are planted and maintained the right way. They also support direct seeding projects in areas where this is ecologically appropriate, which allows for cost-effective restoration at scale.
In 2022 alone, One Tree Planted successfully planted 52,793,657 trees, with over 44 million already committed to be planted in 2023!
